2nd Anniversary: 20100102: 2008 is not the only year of achievements!

Since some time back, I am used to design a greeting for the New Year. This time, I had to focus on my Financial and Management Accounting assignment. I have been also thinking of celebrating the 2nd anniversary of my blog "The Love of the 'e' Prefix", probably with a nice design since I am pretty good at that. Being under pressure to finish my assignment and due to other commitments, I decided to postpone that and write this short post.

When I go back to the day in which I created this blog, which was the 31st of December 2007, I just wonder to myself: "that is a bit surprising!!" You know: such a date at the end of a year. I remember that I just did it. I had been thinking about it for some time and I decided to do it and it was the 31st of Dec!!

Today, I created a folder and I gave it a name as I always do: "YearMonthDay" in the format of "yyyymmdd" and guess what I got "20100102". I was like "WOW, that is a cool number!"

"2008 is the not the only year of achievements". I created my blog on the 31st of Dec 2007. What happened in the next day was remarkable and I consider priceless. In addition to developing websites, I used to provide support to the small number of staff at OEC, where I used to work. I was trying to solve a problem in one of the staff's laptop. When a colleague raised a question: "what are your resolutions for 2008?" Then she answered the question stating that her resolution was that 2008 is the year of achievements. That statement caught my attention and I was thinking to myself all day: "she is right, we should have that attitude and believe that we can achieve". As days pass, I realized that it is not 2008 that is the only year of achievements, every year is a year of achievements and so 2010 is another year of achievements.

It has been 2 years with 8 posts, not a big number. I am enjoying writing and aiming at adding a value to your knowledge (and obviously mine) from every topic I post. I probably need to be more focused and work on writing more.

To my friends who commented and gave me their feedback, I would like to express my sincere gratitude. To those who have read a post, I hope you have learnt something new. To my best friend, I do value your support, encouragement and inspirations and you should know that you have contributed a lot to my success.

To all of you, let us dream of a better tomorrow; let us dream of success and prosperity; let us achieve; let us aspire so we can inspire; let us hold each other's hands and walk with confidence and faith and yes… we can… we just need to believe.

Though it has been so long expecting to see a new post by you, I feel GREAT as if it was my own post.

No matter how much work and commitments you have, it is important that you have the focus on the things you want to achieve.

Thank you for the nice post. Wish you “another year of achievements”.
